Dear friends,
The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of St. Markella Homeless program, in conjunction with ‘Fashion Republic’,is gathering second-hand clothing for the poverty stricken people of Peru. Our Presbytera Monica Giannakopoulos, who is Peruvian born and raised, and who is always sensitive to the needs of her homeland, has asked us to help as much as we can. We are asking for SECOND-HAND clothing ONLY. Fashion Republic will pay for used clothing by the pound. The money is then sent to Peru and distributed to poverty relief organizations on the ground there. Please do NOT donate any new clothing. Clothing for adults, and children, including shoes, is welcome.
