On the Sunday before Theophany His Eminence visited our fledgling but growing Cuban flock accompanied by Priestmonk Maximos, the dean of the Latin American missions, and Mr Demetrios Spanos and his wife, Adriana Spanos.
His Eminence met his Cuban flock for the first time. The parishioners (over 20 people) and the Metropolitan were very pleased with their first meetings. His Eminence spoke to the parish on a number of occasions. He presented the new parish with holy relics. Generally speaking, the Cuban people are very poor, so they received icons as gifts which were graciously distributed by our Metropolitan. [nggallery id=286]
