On Wednesday April 23/May 6, 2015, His Eminence, Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Attica and Boeotia, arrived in New York for a short visit. His Eminence visited the Holy Ascension Monastery in Bearsville, NY, as well as St. Synkletike’s Convent in Farmingdale, NY. On the Sunday of the Samaritan Woman, April 27/May 10, he concelebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of St. Markella in Astoria, NY with our Ruling Hierarch, His Eminence, Metropolitan Demetrius of America. His Eminence, Metropolitan Pavlos (formerly) of America was also present praying with them from within the Holy Bema. Metropolitan Chrysostomos preached the sermon in Greek while Metropolitan Demetrius preached in English.
